While no pesticides containing arsenic are used when growing our rice, arsenic is indigenous in air, water and soil, so trace amounts occur in rice, as well as many other crops including fruits, vegetables and grains. There have been no documented incidents in which arsenic in U.S. rice has led to human health problems.
